Accomodation Hawaii

Checking into the Royal Lahaina

February 1, 2016

It was nearing the end of our Hawaii trip and it was getting to be time to head back to school again, and after a week of intense sightseeing I was completely exhausted. The Royal Lahaina turned out to be just what the doctor ordered. It was stocked with enough activities and food to keep me occupied for days without leaving, and was oozing comfort and luxury. I cannot recommend the Royal Lahaina enough.

The Lobby

Luxury starts as soon as you walked into the hotel lobby. In fact, this was where I spent most of my time, playing card games with friends and just hanging out in general. Porters carry your luggage to your room for you while you can grab a cup of water and relax after the long commute.

The view from our balcony was absolutely incredible.

The Rooms

We actually got a free upgrade to an ocean-view room, but even without the gorgeous view, the rooms were lovely. Comfy beds, this lovely countertop and bar stool set, which I’ve never seen before in a hotel room, and a tiny little kitchenette. The bathroom was on the small side, but still had enough room for you to comfortably do all the necessary business.

Not in the mood to stay anywhere near other people? The Royal Lahaina offers cottages too, which are cute, cozy, and offer extra privacy.

The Food

Oh my god, the food. It was amazing. There is a “barefoot bar” restaurant that is right next to the pool that you can frequent. There is also a smaller bakery type shop that cells sandwiches, paninis, and delicious baked goods. All of the food is a bit pricey, but since it’s right at your doorstep, how can you complain?

The Facilities

The Royal Lahaina offers the best of everything: an outdoor pool, hot tub, and beach all in one area! You can rent boogie boards for the beach, or chill poolside and get tanned – it’s up to you! There’s also a fitness center located indoors, so those wishing to stay fit (unlike me) can with ease.

The Activities

There is so much to do at the Royal Lahaina. From activities such as lei and other jewelry making for kids to yoga and pilates sessions for the moms to ukelele lessons which are for everyone, guests will never be bored! Oh, and did I mention that all these activities and more are complimentary? Does it get any better than this?

There’s also a Lu’au on the premises that unfortunately, I did not get to see, but includes cocktails, all you can eat buffet, and Polynesian performances like no other!

All in all, I can’t recommend the Royal Lahaina more! If you are headed to Maui any time soon, check it out!

I was not compensated for this post, all opinions are my own!
